Characteristics
Hb has high affinity of oxygen. When partial pressure oxygen is high, haemoglobin carry oxygen from lungs to tissues
Hb can easily release oxygen. When partial pressure oxygen is low ,Hb release oxygen to tissues
Cooperative characteristics. The binding of oxygen to haemoglobin subunit causes remaining subunit to change their conformation,Thus increasing their affinity of oxyge.
When partial pressure oxygen is low, Hb carry carbon dioxide from tissues to lung in the form of carbaminohaemoglobin
