should only be administered when oral not possible or effective and/or IV access to administer 10% is not possible

is a hormone that induces the conversion of glycogen to glucose in the liver, thereby raising blood glucose

cautions

low glycogen stores - recent use of glucagon or starvation

for hypoglycaemic seizures 10% IV is preffered
