One Plan Approach
The one plan approach is a working model of how divided conservation efforts can combine and collaboration upon conservation can be fully realised
Mission statement
Directs operational decisions and sets goals for the institution. It is through their mission statements that zoos share their passion for animals and animal conservation with each other and with the rest of the world

Collection Plan
Justifies the animal species and numbers held in the zoo collection. It also plans for future requirements - e.g. breeding.

Immersion exhibit
A naturalistic zoo environment that gives visitors the sense of being in the animals' habitats. Buildings and barriers are hidden.
