bodies get disciplined into clothing in society, the body is the environment of the self to be inseparable from the self, all bodies are dressed bodies (clothes, tattoos, cosmetics), purpose of embellishing/decorating/enhancing, conventions of dress teach us about the social order albeit micro-social order that dress correlates to, dress is decoration+body+self not separable, considering dress as bodily practice teaching us about the relation between body dress & culture, assumes that bodies are socially constructed
