Information is Liberating
participating in democracy requires knowledge
Knowing information and being able to use it allows your world to open up
Being able to provide for yourself
Knowing your rights
being able to drive
having the ability to parse politics and choices in your daily life
steers away from fear mongering and fear of "other"
Ignorance leads to a lack of agency
people who don't know better are not able to defend themselves/may not know their rights/how to articulate their ideas
Use the power and freedom brought by higher learning to foster more intellectual growth
Information becomes more accessible to all
People become resistant to gaslighting and hostile agendas
Disprove falisties
media literacy, being able to identify valid sources
secure the best lines of means
people are more self sufficiet
Less emotional/fear based decision making
Knowledge equalizes inequity in wealth and power
education is progress
Education about other people allows us to make changes that benefit more people
Social progress
every generation learns new info and interprets/extrapolates
further research leads to world change
Education allows for informed decision making
Personal progress
Education about the past (SHOULD) prevent us as a society from making the same mistakes again
Political progress
