The story has a begging high, the middle is where things fall apart ,at the end all the build up leads the viewer back to a high.
A good romance has the audience relating to the characters
This gets the viewer to put themselves in the characters shoes

Has to have a thought about story, beginning middle and end
Depending on the type of crime film the story must include backstories to each actor so that the audience can get attached to the actor
Crime needs to have a element of action in the narrative

A Observational Documentary is a documentary where there is no sit down interviews or a narrator.
Often follows a protagonist
The protagonist needs to be doing something extremely out of the ordinary
The documentary should include a timeline of the protagonist
E.g. Week before the "event" Beginning of "event" End of "event" week after "event"

This is a simple genre that can the audience hooked as often modern issues are opinionated

They can be extremely intense, the viewers in the comfort of there own home can feel like there their interviewing, the gangs etc
The documentary would need extremely broad questions so that it would not trigger anyone affiliated to illegal activity
History To create a historic documentary, you will need a vast amount of knowledge on the subject
