ethnicity
based on the culture of a group of people who share the same ancestry, customs and traditions that distinguishes them from other groups in society. Each ethnic group has its own beliefs, values and practices
in southeast asia, different ethnic groups have different customs and traditions. eg. within the malay community, there are different groups such as Javanese and Bugis

socio economic status
refers to an economic situation shared by a group of people in society. it is measured by a group of social and economic factors such as income, education and housing.
thus, the government would be able to provide more targeted help. eg. KidSTART programme. families with lower income may face challenges in providing the resources needed to support their children's development.
KidSTART equips parents with relevant knowledge and skills to nurture their children's early development. KidSTART is offered to families who need it the most, such as those with a household income of 2,500 or less or a gross monthly per capita income of 650 or less

nationality
refers to citiznes of the same country that generally live together in a particular geographical area. They often share a common history and language as well as common experiences, practices and traditions
eg. singlish is part of singaporean's identity, it is the mix of english and various other languages spoken by hte variou socmmunities in singapore and has become part of Singapore's culture
group representation constituency was established in 1988 to ensure that the minority races were represented in Parliament. A group of membrers of parliament represetns the interests of residents in teh constituency. At least one of the members in the parliament must be from the Malay, Indian or anitehr minority racial community
ethnic integration policy was established in 1989 to promote interaction and harmony among people of different ethnic groups in Singapore. Its aim is to prevent ethnic enclaves in Singapore. The EIP ensures that there is a mix of various ethnic groups in a HDB block depending on the ethnic make up in Singappore. Since different ethnic groups live together, they have greater opporunities to interact with one another
CMIO categorisation has been used to reperesent the minority interests in Singapore and encourage the integration racial and ethnic groups
