Education :red_flag:
JMU: When I was applying to colleges, I struggled in picking a school I wanted to go to. I knew where I didn't want to go from moving constantly as a kid, but didn't have a set school in mind. Eventually, the decision came down to the cheapest school available that fit my criteria and that was JMU. I began JMU feeling left out for not having an immense amount of school spirit. Now, my school spirit and love for the school has grown increasingly. JMU is now the most favorite school I've attended out of the many.

MIF: I'm a finance major and in my undergraduate business classes, they don't really teach you finance coursework until your junior year. So, I decided to join the extremely selective Madison Investment Fund organization. This organization has helped me take strides towards my ultimate career goal of doing investment banking in NYC. The fund taught me how to network and navigate the upcoming recruitment cycle for higher finance roles that is extremely accelerated. The most valuable skill it has taught me is passion.
-
Complex Problems: I have always been fascinated by trying to solve or understand complex problems. I like things that don't always have a right or definitive answer because they allow me to be creative. I love the fibonacci sequence, the trolley problem, thinking about our global debt crisis etc.

Entertainment :red_flag:
Concerts: Due to constantly moving as a kid, there would be weeks where my house was in boxes and I didn't have any friends yet. So music was always being played. It became an outlet for me to relax and let go of frustrations. I've been to so many concerts that I've lost count. My favorite concert I've been to is the Red Hot Chili Peppers and I've seen them twice.
-
Books and Movies: Another major part of who I am is my interest in storytelling. I grew up reading multiple books at the same time and watching countless cult-classic movies. My favorite book is the Green Mile by Stephen King and my favorite movie is Interstellar. Even when crazy or interesting things happen to me in my daily life, I enjoy telling the story to others.

Mentors :red_flag:
Mom: My mom has majorly influenced me my entire life. I would describe her as the definition of a "free spirit". She has taught me to love nature as she is a major fan of gardening and going to the beach. She is a very bubbly and silly person that has shown me not to always take life so seriously. I strive to be more like her.
-
Sistine and Sophia Stallone: I frequently listen to podcasts that give life advice and my favorite is the Unwaxed podcast led by two of Sylvester Stallone's daughters. They are very kind hearted people that give great advice. I look up to them and strive to be somewhat like them.

Hobbies :red_flag:
Gymnastics: I was a Gymnast for 12 years and did Cheerleading for another 4 years after that. My favorite part of both was tumbling, so doing different flips on the ground. I wanted to go to college for Gymnastics but I eventually had to quit from constantly moving all the time. This was my only real childhood dream that I was the most passionate about. It was the first time I've ever felt so deeply upset about something in my life (that wasn't about a person).
-
DJ: As I mentioned previously, I have always had a passion for music. Recently, I've discovered that I am fascinated by DJing. I got a board for Christmas and I'm trying to learn by experimenting to mix songs. I normally learn from a textbook or Youtube video. So this is a new challenge for me. I'm a person that loves problem-solving and being challenged.
-
Remembering Self: I've always had a pretty good memory, and I feel that I use the remembering self lens more often than my experiencing self within different situations.
-
Experiencing Self: I occasionally focus on how I'm feeling in the moment but I generally use my memories more heavily weighted in decision making. However, I've gotten a lot better at being more level-headed during my experiencing self moments.
