Dundee Concrete & Landscaping
What the Competition is Doing
I notice their homepages are very simple (One idea, one call to action).
Examples
https://whiteblockcompany.com/
He uses the one message, but it's less convincing because it just tells the history of the company (that probably won't sell the customer in a lot of cases outside of giving credibility).
https://www.mutualmaterials.com/branches/spokane-wa/
This one is simple and goes right to the point, but it's not really engaging enough to keep reading.
https://acmecpi.com/
This one is a really well-organized page that keeps it simple but also interlinks to some of its services. We could try to borrow elements of it. I think this one is the best so far.
What I Notice
I really like the photos that showcase your services.(e.g. brick stamp, belgium slate, granite stamp)
Headlines could be improved like "Dundee Offers Exceptional Concrete Curbing Installations"
Place to correct: "life!Contact us now to turn your concrete dreams into a reality."
I would introduce paragraphs with some kind of hook to get them reading (but also keep the word count lower)
The "Request a Quote Section" looks kind of crammed in, though I know it's part of the design.
The other thing I notice is it's a page that tries to do a lot all at once. In good copywriting, the idea is "One idea, one call to action." This will add to the potency of your message and help with the conversion rate.
I feel like more statistics would help with the persuasion at certain points
I see the interlinking with the homepage of your different services, and I think it's a really good idea for SEO.
Possible Ideas
We could maybe strengthen this page with testimonials of happy customers
For the patio installation ideas, I wonder if we could detail your services in greater detail with the green photos and different designs (that part is really nice).
What is the service you sell the most of? We could put that right at the top of the homepage to help sell it (like reorganizing the headlines very strategically based on the actions we want them to take).
I would use less words and more photos to simplify the page.
One thing we could do is figure out what is the key thing you want to accomplish with the homepage and then simplify it.
I would really try to simplify the homepage, but I like that your message feels more personal, which I think is something we want to try to keep.
Showing a portfolio of your past work might be a really great way to showcase and sell your services.
With the request a quote section, you could potentially reduce the size, so it feels less overwhelming to the reader (this site kind of has a similar style to Dundee:
https://spokanelandscapedesigns.com/patio-pavers/
)
Testimonials (Maybe we can use some of the reviews from Google? I notice they have good photos of your work as well that, if allowed, you could possibly use to showcase a portfolio).
Eliminate the weakest sections and focus relentlessly on getting them to take a single action (for example, filling out the Request a Quote form)
Potential sales point: You have 22 five-star reviews on Google. I wonder if we could highlight that?
We could potentially feature a FAQs section at the bottom.
One of the things I think we'd want to do is simplify and strengthen the sales copy.
An idea for organization: I like how this site highlights all its services in one area while keeping the look simple:
https://spokane.samtheconcreteman.com/
Expertise (Does Dundee have any service it specializes in that we could especially highlight? Great way to differentiate yourself, also)
We could go into great detail on Dundee's special services and what are the unique designs you offer
If I'm a customer, what are things that give me confidence in a concrete installation company?
Experience
Referrals from someone I know (especially this one...maybe we could ask them to give a referral if they loved the services)
Testimonials
Good photos of a portfolio
I probably want to speak to someone either over the phone or in person before I'd order.
Expertise (Does Dundee have anything it specializes in that we could highlight?)
Something that gets me right to what I want immediately (so like intuitive and design friendly). I want to be find what I need as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Benefits of a Newly Paved Driveway (Potential Selling Points in the Copy)
More curb appeal
Can increase the value of your home by as much as 10% (can add upwards of $10,000 in value)
Can prevent further damage of an older driveway
New driveways improve traction adding to safety
Can improve drainage and ensure the water flows away from the home's foundation. I don't know if Spokane is as rainy as Seattle, but definitely a great sales point in a rainy state.
Potholes can ruin tires (follow it up with some kind of statistic)
Can eliminate soft spots in the driveway
Eliminates tripping hazards like tree roots can cause heaving (particularly a danger with the older generation)
