Language, Gender, and Culture
Behavior
Female
Disciplined
Compared to Men, Women usually preform better in school as they mature earlier, and have more traits that match the typical school system allowing them to excel.
"The information age rewards people who mature early, who are verbally and socially sophisticated, who can control their impulses. Girls may, on average, do better at these things."
Polite
Women are usually raised to be polite and mild mannered, being called rude or disruptive if talking out of turn, or even stating their own opinions. Compared to men where both of these things are norms.
Affectionate
Women are also much more caring than men because they are in touch with their emotions. Whenever I think of an affectionate person, it is always a Women.
Hospitable
Generally women are inviting and nurturing which makes them much more hospitable than men. For example my grandma always spoils me when I go over to her house, making sure I'm always comfy, and fed, creating a very hospitable environment.
Emotional
Women are much more in touch with their emotions than men, and it is much more common for them to be comfortable in their emotions.
Male
Prideful
Men typically feel the need to defend what they have from others, and believe their way is the right way no matter what.
-
Sexist
Stereotypes against Women are all made by Males, and in the 1950s there was a ton of laws keeping men in power and Women under them. Even today there is still things like that.
“I don’t think you can understand this notion of sexual harassment and men’s anger with women, their willingness to take out on them all this sexual hostility, unless you imagine that sense of entitlement in the job,”
Leader
Usually especially in a 1950s lens Men are always leaders in Jobs, Friend Groups, and of the house.

Cant Sit Still
A lot of Men, especially younger boy have concentration problems, and cant work or sit still. This behavior is very common in school as I have experienced it before.
"Boys are much more likely to have discipline problems. An article as far back as 2004 in the magazine Educational Leadership found that boys accounted for nearly three-quarters of the D’s and F’s."
Professions
Male
Construction Worker
Being a construction worker is definitely a very traditionally hands on masculine job. Because of this many women might not be as drawn to working in it, or other blue collar jobs as much as less traditionally masculine jobs. This means many more men work in this field.
"And a Times Upshot analysis of blue-collar occupations showed that women’s presence in these jobs stayed static or shrank between 2000 and 2016."
President
Very similar to CEO I chose this because if there ever is a Women President many people (men) will criticize her and say she slept her way to the top. The other main reason I chose this as a mans job is because there has never been a female president, so 100% of them are male.
CEO
While women most definitely can become CEO's as well, I put it as a manly job because there is a much larger majority of men CEOs than women. This is because women in this position are definitely criticized on how they reached it, and this makes it harder for them to get it.
Mechanic
Just like Construction Worker, I chose this as a manly job because it is traditionally masculine. Women are probably not as drawn to it as other jobs, and because of this it is mainly dominated by men.
Doctor
One of the most common jobs for a man is being a doctor. This was the first job that came to mind when I was thinking of jobs for men. Its most likely because it is easier for a man to get this job compared to a woman.
Female
Model
From what I have seen on commercials or ads online, Women mainly dominate the Modeling business. I believe this is because there are much more pretty women than men who are able and willing to model.
Stewardess
A third example from my own personal experience but I have only ever seen 2 male Flight attendant anytime I've flown before. Granted I've only ever been on 8 planes, but still the ratio of women to men Flight Attendants has be be grated than 3:1.
Secretary
Again based on personal experience I have never seen a male secretary before. And especially (not as much now) in the 1950s Secretary was the most common job for women because it was relatively well paying without needing a college degree, which sadly was much harder for women to get compared to men.
Nurse
When I think of a Nurse its always a woman. Although I know a man who is a nurse, I think of women because again of their typical nurturing and hospitable nature making them a perfect fit for the job rather than men.
Teacher
Based on personal experience I have had substantially more women teachers than men. I believe it is a mainly female dominated job because especially in younger grades women have more nurturing behaviors leading them to be better teachers than men.
Appearances
Male
Big
Nearly all of the time sons grow to be bigger than their mothers, and men are larger than women having more muscle mass, and even larger bones.
Handsome
A good looking man is mostly referred to as handsome, not beautiful or pretty. Just like you wouldn't call a lady handsome.
Hairy
It has become a cultural norm for women to shave their body hair, while men usually don't shave these parts. This makes them much more hairy, along with also being able to grow more hair in more places than women.
Tall
Just like big, men are majority of the time taller than women because they are larger.
Rugged
Men typically take much less care of themselves compared to women, this gives them a less hygienic rugged look. Also based on the jobs that they typically work they get much more exposure to natural elements which makes them look dirty.
Female
Makeup
A lot of women wear make up whether its a lot of a tiny bit. It is a typical appearance for Women to wear makeup definitely not out of the ordinary.
Beautiful
Similar to men being called handsome, you wouldn't call a pretty lady handsome, rather beautiful.
Delicate
Just like men are rugged, women are delicate usually taking better care of themselves than men do. But women are usually weaker than men.
Jewelry
While this has changed more recently, before Jewelry was a very common thing for women to wear. Necklaces, bracelets, rings are all super common, though now jewelry has become more common for men to wear, though I feel it is still worn more by women.
Short
Just like tall for men, women are shorter than men the majority of the time. This is probably because millions of years ago, men were hunters so they needed to be larger than women.
Emotions
Male
Apathetic
Men usually show very little emotion towards things others may find very interesting which can come off as them not caring. Compared to women who often share their emotions and show compassion towards others more commonly.
Unruly
Men especially in teenage years have very little care for other people of things other than themselves, prioritizing themselves. This can make them disruptive and do things like be loud and blurt out in public.
"By junior high, he’d lose interest in trying and his grades would plummet. Then he’d rebel. If the official high school culture was über-nurturing, he’d be über-crude."
Short Tempered
Similar to Angry men typically have very short tempers where very small things can make a man blow up.
Shame
Men can be very ashamed for actions in the past, and feel shame especially when comparing themselves to other men. For example if someone is more successful than them they would feel ashamed about their success.
Angry
It could be because of hormones, but the natural aggressive nature of men make them more angry than women on a daily basis. And much smaller things that don't really matter can make men very mad.
Female
Dramatic
Again women are more in touch with their emotions than men are, though this can cause them to be dramatic in some peoples eyes, making a big deal over things others see as not necessary.
Sad
Because women feel emotions on a greater scale than men usually do, they might feel more sad over things more than men do, and it could take them longer to get over.
Sympathy
Women are definitely more in touch with their emotions than men are, because of this they understand and are much more sympathetic towards others than men are, since they understand what the others are feeling.
Stressed
Because of the anxiety, stress comes hand and hand with it. Women are also typically more stressed than men because typically they have more stressors in life than men do, for example carrying and taking care of children.
Anxiety
Women can be much more anxious about smaller things than men because they care about more things, and don't always exude the same amount of confidence as men do.
