1429 French Peasant girl felt moved by God to save the French from the English conquerors
at 13 she had visions and heard what she thought were voices of saints urging her to drive the English from France and give the French crown to true king Charles VII
May 7, 1429 led French Army into Battle (Fort City near Orleans) Hard fought battle on both sides. French retreated but Joan and a few others charged back toward the fort. The French Army stromed after. She guided them to victory.
1420 the French and English signed a treaty that Henry V would inherit the French crown after the death of the French King Charles VI
