We are able to relate to each character. There are no 'protagonists' or 'Antagonists', and we are able to apply their logics to the real world which ultimately blur the lines between right and wrong
Taboo Topics
Topics such as grief, death, Racism, etc are commonly explored and these themes (Mainly Racism) target bigger corporations meanwhile some tackle the general public with themes regarding media presence and using tragedies as spectacles for personal gain.

Existential Absurdity
Through comedy, they take the topic and make it obvious to the audience of its absurdity. Highlighting the meaninglessness or contradictions of it all.

Witty/ Sharp Dialogue
Dialogue throughout shows their humour through the deadpan, sarcastic or ironic delivery
Uncomfortable Truths
Since Dark comedies usually tackle serious topics, they usually have moments where characters openly discuss taboo topics that reflect real life issues
