Factors affecting Earth's Climate
Volcanic Activity
Volcanic eruptions release gases
It can release greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide and water vapor into the atmosphere.
Can cause a cooling effect
Can last from days to months or to years, it all revolves around the size and strength of the Volcanic eruption.
The average temperature decreases about half a degree for a certain period of time.

The atmosphere and Greenhouse Gases
Greenhouse gases trap heat and controls the earths temperature.
Human activities like burning fossil fuels, and deforestation have increased the amount of Greenhouse gases, which leads to more global warming.

Ocean currents
Changes in circulations
El Niño
Causes the central and eastern Pacific Ocean water to be warmer, this causes the trade winds to weaken. It causes more density in South America, and the opposite in Australia.
La Niña
Causes cooling in central and eastern Pacific Ocean water, this causes the trade winds to strengthen, it brings a lot of rain to Australia and the southern parts of Asia.
Temperature Vs Saline
More saline causes more density in the water, which is a big factor in ocean circulation.
Saltier water sinks, this can cause heat to transfer around the globe.

Human Activities and Burning Fossil Fuels
Factories
Industries that use high temperatures to manufacture things, are usually powered by gases.
Transportation
On the road: 86% of cars, trucks and buses run on gasoline or diesel. The other 14% being electric, the 86% all release gas into the environment.
In the air: All airplanes rely on Jet Fuel to work, this fuel releases a lot of carbon into the atmosphere.
Agriculture
Deforestation: Wiping out forests, to grow crops, or other plants. This releases carbon into the atmosphere.

Generating Power
Renewable Energy
Solar, Wind, and Hydro power are some Renewable Energy sources that have a positive impact on the earth.
Non-Renewable Energy
Coal, Natural Gas, and Nuclear energy have a bad impact on the earth. They all release Carbon Dioxide into the atmosphere and burn a lot of fossil fuels.
