Solid states are portable
, it is also very durable.
Very small and lightweight, which is ideal for cameras since they are portable too.
They are cheap, and also can get large sizes - potentially a terabyte or more.

Paper
Before we had computers, we used paper. We wrote by paper by hand without any technology. We could of used a crude type ink copier to print out copies on paper.
Advantages - Less energy required to store the paper just needed a dry location, Secure cannot be stolen online, Can be used in places without electricity.
Disadvantages - Very heavy and bulk to store, Easy to damage or destroy, Time consuming as you need to write down by hand.

Optical
These include the shiny silver plastic discs such as CDs (compact discs), DVDs (digital versatile discs) and Blu-ray discs. The disks are read by a laser.
Disadvantages - Data transfer can be very slow compared to hard drives, Easily scratched, Recordable media can break down if stored in sunlight.
Advantages - No moving parts, Cheap to produce and buy in bulks, Easy to transfer between devices

Magnetic storage uses a metallic oxide medium such as iron, which may be ‘doped’ with other metals such as cobalt. As a magnetic write head moves across the surface of the tape or disk, crystals of the oxide coating become aligned according to the magnetic field. A read head can then read back the recorded data.
Disadvantages

Susceptible to physical damage (e.g., from drops or shocks).
