CHD/ smoking and cancer
The build up of fatty deposits cause CHD when they accumulate in the coronary arteries, causing decreased blood flow and increased clotting risk.
CHD can be prevented or treated using stents, metal meshes that are filed into the arteries and inflated to push away any fatty deposits and restore blood flow. Statins prevent the build up of further cholesterol
