'The Future through Art'
Progress &
Advances
Innovation as regression (is our current progress always moving us forward? or are we slowly degrading)
The cost of progress (what is the price we are paying for the technological and scientific growth we have today)
Progress without purpose (moving forward for the sake of advancement, without ever reflecting on the meaning behind constant growth)
Silence & Communication
Death of dialogue (silence replaces all meaningful conversation in a future world, removing all traces of language)
Noise becoming the norm (in a world filled with so much noise and disturbance, it has become the new norm -the new silence-)
-
Control
Is technology the master or the slave? (humans dominating tools they make, which quietly instead overpower them)
Nature's rebellion (attempts to control the environment backfiring constantly ; natural balance lost)
Control of oneself (struggles with intentional action when surrounded by distractions make us question whether we really are in control of ourselves)
Disconnect
Alone together (isolation growing greater and greater despite higher connection with digital, virtual worlds)
Innovation without emotion (future where technological advancement constantly occurs, breaking all emotion until we can't feel -disconnect from what makes us human-)
Fragmented selves (broken identities where we continue our mundane routines without any solid sense of self or personality)
Time
Time as currency (where people can either live long lives with less or short lives with more -by selling their extra time for greater luxury-)
Erosion of memory (reliance on machines becomes so high our pasts -history- becomes erased as we don't remember anything over a day old)
Time in loops (the futility of time and our existence with the cyclical nature of all life -everything around us-)
Art & Endless Loops
Breaking free (all attempts to break through the seemingly infinite cycle of life only lead us back to the beginning)
Void in progress (a world where technology and science has made our world so perfect, that human emotion and a touch of imperfection is lacking)
Shadows
Creativity's dark side (the potential for art to conceal and hide as much it conveys and communicates -shadows over the most important truths-)
Shadowed futures (dreams and hopes for what lies ahead are hidden by challenges or limitations overshadowing)
Routine as prison (repetition becomes a trap given birth to by progress, where our lives are entrapped by 'perfect' structures we can't escape)
Mirrors
-
Reflections of the future (how the past manifests itself in the future -coming moments, what lies ahead-)
Facing the mirror (a future where each of remains in front of a mirror our entire lives, facing the most uncomfortable truth - ourselves)
