The albedo effect is basically how much sunlight is reflected by Earth’s surface. Lighter surfaces, like ice and snow, reflect more sunlight, while darker surfaces, like oceans or forests, absorb more heat. As ice melts due to global warming, the Earth’s surface becomes darker, absorbing more heat and accelerating climate change.
