Considerations for an evaluation plan include:
Preparing or selecting the evaluation tools.
Ensuring that data is gathered and analyzed.
Determining the way information will be used.
Determining the person responsible for the evaluation plan.

Staff Evaluation is to
enable the director and staff members to analyze the staff member's work that is well performed and the areas that require changes or growth.
Provide information to the board and funding agency about how employees spend their time
Validate employees work.
Evaluation upon employment
Review Job Description: The director discusses the job description with the new employee, makes changes if needed, and uses this as the basis for evaluation.
Clarify Expectations: The director explains to the new employee that they will be evaluated.
3.Offer Support: The new employee is assured they will receive support to adjust to their new role.
4.Explain Evaluation Process: Every employee is informed about the details of the evaluation process (what, why, when, how, and who).
Probation evaluation
Set Work Plan: The director and employee create a clear plan to guide the employee’s work.
2.Agree on Goals: Both agree on specific goals and use these as a basis for evaluation.
Guidance from Director: The director helps the employee meet the goals and objectives.
Use Tools for Evaluation: Checklists or rating scales may be used to compare employee skills, especially in larger workplaces.
Provide Written Plan: Both the director and employee receive a written copy of the plan for tracking progress.
Schedule Next Meeting: A follow-up meeting is scheduled within a specific time frame to review progress.

If the weak areas outweigh the employee's strengths, the director must terminate the employee because the director's role is to promote growth and not to provide total on-the-job training
Evaluation of the goals
Goals change but slowly because they are closely related to the center's philosophy
Every few years, each goal should be reviewed to weigh its relevancy to current and future needs.
