Energy
Non renewable energy
Advantages
The technology for non-renewable energy is well-developed globally. This makes it easier and more cost-effective to build power plants in developing countries in Africa for instance
Unrenewable energy
can provide a steady and consistent supply of energy. Unlike renewables, they are not dependent on weather or other natural factors, making them reliable for base-load energy demands.
Disadvantages
Fossil fuels like coal, oil, and natural gas are finite resources that will eventually run out. As reserves become scarcer, extraction becomes more expensive and difficult.
The burning of fossil fuels releases large amounts of carbon dioxide and other harmful emissions, contributing to climate change, air pollution, and health problems.
Citing factors
The site should be close to the source of the non-renewable resource to reduce transportation costs and logistical challenges.
The location should have access to established infrastructure, such as transportation networks

Used worldwide, especially in LEDCs, usually as a main source of energy
Renewable energy
Advantages
Renewable energy sources like sunlight, wind, and water are inexhaustible. As long as the Earth exists, these resources will continue to be available, making them ideal for long term energy needs.
Renewable energy produces little to no greenhouse gas emissions or air pollutants. This helps combat climate change and reduces air pollution, leading to improved public health and a cleaner environment.
Disadvantages
Renewable energy depends on natural conditions, which are not always consistent. For example, solar energy production is limited at night or on cloudy days, and wind turbines cannot operate without wind.
Most countries don't use renewable energy as their main energy source as it cannot produce as much energy as non renewable energy sources.
