Cardiac Cycle - Coggle Diagram
Cardiac Cycle
cardiac process
-
-
In the diastole phase, the heart ventricles are relaxed and the heart fills with blood
In the systole phase, the ventricles contract and pump blood to the arteries
As the heart beats, it circulates blood through pulmonary and systemic circuits of the body
SA & AV node
-
-
Sends an impulse or signal from the RA through the walls of the atria which causes the muscular wall to contract
-
AV NODE
-
-
-
Means the atria can then contract before the ventricles to receive the blood from the atria as they are relaxed
-
The process of the heart filling with blood followed by a contraction where blood is pumped out is known as the cardiac cycle
