HEART
Organ formed by muscular walls called miocardium. It is divide in two sections by the septum, allowing to have a complete circulation (the blood from one side never is mixed with the blood from the other side). The heart has 4 cavities: two atrium and two ventricles. It also has atrioventricular valves to avoid the blood retrait. We have a double circulation because to complete a heartbeat the blood has to pass the heart two times. The firts time is called pulmonary loop and the second one is called systemic loop
FUNCTION
Atrial systole: the atriums get contracted and let pass the blood to the ventricles through the tricuspid valve in the right side and through the mitral valve in the left side
Ventricular systole: the ventricles get contracted and let the blood pass to the pulmonary vein through the pulmonary sigmoid valve, in the right side and then in the left side the blood oxygenated passes to vena aorta through the aorta sigmoid arterie.

CIRCULATORY SYSTEM
Transport substances from one point to other, of our organism. This substances are diluated in the blood.
BLOOD
Plasma: its the 55% of the blood. Its pricipal component is water. It contains proteins, hormones, sugar and antibodies.
Blood cells': its the 45% of the blood and these cells are: RED BLOOD CELLS: they transport oxigen, don't have nucleus , they have a biconcave form and storage hemoglobin (reacts with the oxygen). WHITE BLOOD CELLS: they protect us from infections and forms part of the inmunitary system. PLATELETS: formed by cell remains, the protects us from hemorrhages.
FUNCTION: transport nutrients, Co2, O2 and waste. They protects us from infections, hemorrhages and distributes the body heat.
BLOOD VESSELS
They transport blood, pumped by the heart
-
Arteries: transport the blood from the heart to the rest of the body. They have muscular and elastic walls to put up with the presion that blood comes.
Capillaries: they have a thin tissue. Is a join of veins and arteries. Permits the exchange of substances.
