Circulatory and excretory system
Circulatory system
Is the responsible of transporting the substances that the cells need to work like the oxygen
The blood is a fluid responsible of transporting substances
It's formed by
Plasma: 55% it's a yellow fluid formed by water
Blood cells:
Red blood cells: transport oxygen
White blood cells: defense of the blood
Platelets: control of hemorrhagies
Functions
Transport of substances and phymes
Control of hemorrhages
defense against infections
body heat distribution
Blod vessels
Arteries
Go from the heart to all the body
Veins
Go from the body to the heart
Capillaries
Connect arteries and veins
The heart
Muscular organ that pumps the blood all around the body
Formed by four cavities
Two atrias
Two ventricles
Blood loops
Systemic loop
The blood go to all the cells of the body
Pulmonary loop
The blood go to the lungs and then return to the heart
Excretory system
Is responsible in eliminating all the waste coming from the cells
The organs that intervene in the excretion are:
Kidneys: principals organs in the urinary system
Lungs: expell the carbon dioxide that the celular respiration generates
Sweat glands: produce sweat that is composed by water and waste disolved
Liver: produce the urea that is a component of the urine
Urinary system
Anatomy
Kidneys
Cortex
Medulla
Pelvis
Renal vein
Renal artery
Ureters
Urinal bladder
Urethra
Adrenal glands
Nephrons (inside the kidneys)
Urine
Similar composition as blood plasma
Urea
Yellow pigments
Water (95%)
Fisiology
Respiratory system
Excretion of CO2
Made in the alveoli
It's made during the gas exchange
