CONFLICT
In semester break in William's University, he had an Idea to go back to his country and meet his family, He then met his family and when his mom spoke a sentence in Indonesian. William was flabberghasted that he didnt knew a single word that his mom was saying which led him speechless.
William not knowing the culture of Indonesian when his mom showed "Bhinneka Tunggal Ika" to him.
MORAL
As an Indonesian, the cultures and history should be understood, and remembered. Knowing the beauty and the things our ancestors as gone through to put us in a place when we are right now does a huge part/role in out lives. Such as Bhinneka Tunggal Ika, which means Unity in Diversity.
PLOT
Exposition
The story begins of a scene where William was ordering food with his friend to study for an assigment. The part of a story then changes the scene of Willaim waking up from bed and heard his mother screaming out his birth name (Ahmad Putra). He went to his mother holding a mail that he got accepted in his dream univerisity. Ahmad was so happy, he packed everything and sends his goodbye towards his family.
Rising action
After Arriving In England, Ahmad first wasnt fluent in english and being in England has a big oppoturnity to practice his english. As time goes by, Ahmad was so invested with the culture and learned new british slang from his college friends and finally was more fluent in english. Ahmad was so immersed, and loved england, he legally change his name into Willaim Smith.
Climax
During Semester Break, he wanted to go back to his home country while bringing his new friend Adam. After arriving in Indonesia, His family brought a big sign that says "Ahmad Putra". Adam asked who that was but William did not answer because he was embarrsed. When he ran to his mother, His mom says a sentence In Indonesia and after William heard that, he was devistated that he didnt knew what she was saying and he felt different of not knowing his own native language.
Falling Action
One day, William's mother showed him a sign that says bhinneka tunggal Ika, an old javanese language which had the translation of unity in diversity. William then felt like he needed to know and understand the culture and despite him not knowing and understanding his own native language, he wanted to change and make a difference by learning his native language and invited his friend Adam to do the same.
Resolution
They both started learning Indonesian and decide to stay in Indonesia for a little longer to help them practice talking in Indonesian with all the locals and how to appreciate Indonesian culture more. William found that Indonesians culture should be appreciated more by peopl from his home country and realized that Indonesia was the only place he could ever feel at home. While living there, he had come up with many brilliant ideas and many of the ideas he came up with have become important inventions and innovations in technology and engineering. He then was known as one of the most influential people in the world from Indonesia.
