Capital Letters in Sentences
Capitalize the first word of a sentence.
Capitalize names of people and names for God.
Capital Letters in Titles
Capitalize the first word of any title.
Capitalize important words in the title, such as nouns, pronouns, verbs, adjectives, and adverbs.
Do not usually capitalize words like articles, conjunctions, and some prepositions in the middle of a title, unless they are the first word.
Examples of Capitalized Words in Titles
Correct: Little House on the Prairie, Charlotte's Web, Genesis
Words not capitalized in titles: a, an, the, with, for, on, of, to, and, not, but, or, yet, so.
