Customer/Target Market
Universities as they will need vehicles to transport materials around the campus
Due to being powered by electricity it is suitable for universities who are concerned about their environmental footrprint
Materials
Steel is used for the chassis and frame
This is because Steel very durable and offer rigidity for heavy loads.

Seating is usually made from leather. This is because Leather provides high amounts of comfort and durability meaning it will last a while.
Electrical systems should be made from copper wiring. This is because it allows for efficient electrical conductivity.
It will also ensure reliable and safe operation of the digital dashboards and lighting systems.
Ergonomics
Ergonomics in utility vehicle design places emphasis on comfort, safety, and efficiency of the user in operation. Most utility vehicles used on campus are predominantly short-distance, loading/unloading, or specific-task based; therefore, ergonomics are very important.
Safety
Safety features must be taken into consideration when developing a university campus utility vehicle. They must include the durable seatbelt restraints for the driver and passengers in case of sudden stops and airbags in premium models for protection. The vehicle must be equipped with anti-lock braking systems (ABS) in order to avoid skidding and to provide better handling and stability during an emergency stop. Advanced robust light systems with headlights, LED brake lights, and turn signals should stand out to other people on campus pathways.

Processes
Concepts and Designs are usually made using
Computer-Aided Design (CAD). This is because using CAD you make 3D blueprints of the product and see its features in a minimised form. Using these 3D models it is easier to think of more features to add and use to the vehicle.
Material Selection
Evaluation of different materials. This means discussing
the advantages and disadvantages of different materials which can potentially be used. Highlighting which materials have the best durability, strength, longevity and lowest cost can present them in front of you and others so you can carefully pick which materials are the best to use for different component parts like body panels, interior and etc.
