The story begins with Macbeth, a brave and loyal soldier in Scotland, who
helps win a great battle for King Duncan
After the battle, he meets three witches who make a strange prophecy:
they tell him he will one day become king.

Macbeth's actions make him cruel and paranoid, and he loses the trust of everyone around him
Macbeth writes to his wife,
Lady Macbeth, to tell the news

Lady Macbeth, who was once so strong and confident, starts to feel the
weight of guilt for her role in Duncan’s murder

In the end, Macbeth faces a rebellion led by Macduff and Malcolm, King
Duncan’s son
During the final battle, Macbeth is killed by Macduff, and
Malcolm becomes the new king of Scotland
