TYPES
INTRACRANIAL
condition where bleeding occurs within the skull, often in the brain tissue or ventricles. can result from trauma, hypertentsion, aneurysm rupture or other vascular abnormalities, leading to increased intracranial pressure and neurological damage
SUBARACHNOID
condition where bleeding occurs in the subarachnoid space, the area between the arachnoid membrane and the pia matter. caused by rupture of a cerebral aneurysm often presenting with svere headache
INTRACRANIAL ANEURYSM
a dilation of the walls of a cerebral artery that develops as a result of the weakness in the arterial wall
an aneurysm may be due to atherosclerosis, which results in a defect in the vessel wall with subsequent weakness of the wall, a congenital defect of the vessel wall, hypertensive vascular disease, head trauma or advancing age

MEDICAL MANAGEMENT
-
SURGICAL MANAGEMENT
if the diameter of the hematoma exceeds 3 cm and the GCS score decreases, surgical evacuation is recommended

INTRACEREBRAL HEMORRHAGE: bleeding ruptures the wall of the lateral ventricle and causes intraventricular hemorrhage, which is frequently fatal
