Typhoid fever
- Bacterial infection caused by Salmonella Typhi.
- spread by fecal-oral route, which can include consuming contaminated food or drink,
- The best way to prevent typhoid fever is vaccination, together with proper personal and food hygiene
Salmonellosis
- A common cause of gastroenteritis.
- Symptoms include diarrhoea (sometimes with bloody stool), fever, nausea, abdominal pain, and vomiting.
- Nontyphoidal salmonellosis usually has an incubation period of 6-7 hours.
