They do it for fun
To prove they have the skills to do it

Reason cyber attacks happen
Fun/amusement
To steal data/information
To spy
Financial gain
To cause disruption
Cyber security is important becasue we are sharing more personal information through our digital devices
Social engineering
This is when you manipulate people to get them to reveal confidential information.
Some examples are
Phishing
Pretexting
Quid pro quo
Scareware
Shoulder surfing
Baiting
