ChatGPT
Conversational flow
Keeps track of details super well across conversations, so it feels more personal and tailored. It’s great at remembering things like my preferences or ongoing projects, allowing for more personalized and continuous assistance.
Writing
versatile in balancing creativity and structured analysis, useful for tasks like writing essays, generating business ideas, or crafting marketing strategies.
Integration
stronger ecosystem of integrations (e.g., DALL-E for image generation) and offers tools for interactive problem-solving.
USE 1. Using DALL-E to generate images was very cool and could be done directly in the platform. There are also many other integrations but I never got a chance to do it.
USE 2. I used it when writing my CV and I found that it remembered certain aspects of my life that I had discussed with it in previous chats, and then helped me include those details in the current conversation.
Claude
Conversational flow
good at handling large chunks of information all at once, making it perfect for summarizing or breaking down documents into quick, clear overviews.
Writing
often provides more human-like, empathetic responses, which can feel less robotic but sometimes lacks depth compared to ChatGPT.
Integration
focuses more on conversation, sometimes making it quicker for straightforward tasks but less suited technically difficult tasks.
USE 1. I found that while writing emails, Claude was better suited as it made the text more personable.
USE 2. Was helpful for me to brainstorm ideas that weren't as obvious, whereas ChatGPT continuously produced results that weren't as unique.
