        Dr perry said he saw That there was a wound on his neck and his head and it was a massive wound
        .then he said that he started a tracheotomy.he said the wound was a mortal one and there was a slight chance of survival. He said that there were two distinct wounds. The wound on the neck was a small piercing wound and the wound on the head was a quite large wound. The president was completely unresponsive. There were about 8 or 10 doctors.
        
        The warren commission said he said It said that the president was unresponsive and had a cloth covering his lower body. There was blood noted on the carriage and a large avulsion wound on the right posterior cranium.
        He did not see any other wounds. He examined the chest briefly, and from the anterior portion did not see anything. He pushed up the brace on the left side very briefly to feel for his femoral pulse, but did not obtain any.he asked someone to secure a tracheostomy tray but there was one already there. Apparently Dr. Carrico had already asked them to set up the tray.he said that there was a substantial blood loss.the neck wound was the safest and easiest spot to reach the trachea.

      - Kemp Clark was a Neurosurgeon
      - Dr. Clark announced that president kennedy was dead at 1:00.
    - - Dr. Kemp Clark observed a large, gaping wound on the back of the President's head, which was the exit wound from a bullet that entered the back of his skull, causing severe brain damage and ultimately leading to his death;
  - - - McClelland said "I could see that the whole back half of his right cerebral hemisphere was gone."
        
        McClelland was about 18 inches away from the presidents head.
        
        "I was horrified to see him like that. With his head covered in blood, with that light shining down on it," he said.
        
        They asked him how big the hole was in Kennedy's head was and he made a circle around the size of an orange
        
        He said Jackie Kennedy did not weep, but "was very self-contained and calm."

      - When Kennedy was brought to the hospital, Dr. Baxter, along with several other medical staff, was involved in his care. Kennedy arrived at Parkland in critical condition, having been shot in the upper back and head. Dr. Baxter assisted in the efforts to stabilize the president, although it quickly became apparent that the injuries were fatal. Despite attempts to save him, President Kennedy was declared dead at 1:00 p.m. CST.
      - Dr. Baxter later gave testimony to the Warren Commission, which was investigating the assassination, about the injuries Kennedy sustained and the medical response to the president's condition upon arrival at the hospital.

        Baxter and his colleagues tried to stabilize Kennedy by stopping the bleeding and helping him breathe Baxter described the moment when they realized they could do nothing more for Kennedy saying "We became citizens again"

        Baxter developed the Parkland formula to indicate how much fluid to give burn patients He also founded a tissue bank at Parkland to provide skin grafts for burn patients
        
        Awards
        
        Baxter received the American Burn Association's Harvey Stuart Allen Distinguished Service Award in 1981 and the Whitaker International Burns Award in 1983
        
        Death
        
        Baxter died of pneumonia on March 10, 2005 at the age of 75 He was a professor emeritus of surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School at the time of his death
