alpha
before that the data are collected, on spss = 0.05
-
STATISTICAL INFERENCE
is the use of statistical to make inferences, so to make conclusion and to test hypothesis
H0 (null hypothesis) is a statistic element that represents that there is no statistical significance meaning, (no effect, no relationship, no difference) between the variables that have been studied
-
-
statistic test
it takes your data from the experiment and compare your results with the results you would expect from the null hypothesis
-
CHI-SQUARE TEST
It is a test that is used for data that are non-numerical to describe the number of individual in each category and to know if there is a difference between categories
ONE SAMPLE
Used to compare the proportion of cases from a sample with hypothesized values or thosse obtained from previous analysis
INDEPENDENT
If you want to explore relationship between two categorical variables (i.e. variables that have two or more categories)
The test compares the observed proportions of cases in each of the categories with the values that would be expected if there was no association between variables
while a single frequency distribution describes one variable at time. Cross tabulation describes two or more variables simoultaneously
