UNIT 3: EVOLUTION
-
I was fascinated by how animals with particular traits survive better and spread those traits as time goes on.The idea that these changes happen over generations, made me think about how life constantly adapts to the world.
-
At first I struggled to grasp genetic drift and gene flow. How small random changes affect an entire population was difficult to see.
-
This knowledge is useful in fields such as medicine, agriculture and conservation. It’s fundamental to understanding how diseases evolve and how species respond to their environments.
-
UNIT 5: PLANTS
-
Photosynthesis is essential for life on Earth, with plants making their own food through the process. What I found really interesting was learning how plants can communicate with each other. They use chemicals to warn other plants about threats like insects or disease.
-
It was hard for me to learn about photosynthesis especially the light dependent and light independent reactions.
-
This is useful for studying agriculture, gardening, or environmental science. It's important to understand plant growth because it's related to food production and sustainability.
