switch's
-
Push to break switch:
Push to break switch allows current to flow through until it's held down, then the circuit is broken.
Double pole double throw (DPDT) switch:
A DPDT switch can be used to change polarity of a motor. The switch is off when in the centre position, and on when in forward or backward position. It behaves like a two separate SPDT configuration, operating at the same time.
Toggle switch:
All of the above switch's work like on/off switches. On/off switches are used to keep the circuit on or off without having to hold the switch.
motors and controls
180-degree servo:
these are a servo that can twist and stop and hold the part in a certain position between 0 and 180 degrees
180-degree servo control board:
These circuit boards control the direction and when the board stops and holds at which height.
Geared down motors:
the motor can handle heavier loads or more demanding tasks. It runs ideally around 2-3 thousand rpm delivering more torque than rpm
Dc motors:
a dc motor turns a direct current into a mechanical enegry which can be used to turn many things. You can also control the speed of a dc motor very easily as you change the amount of power going to the motor which could be useful for a door mechanism

Light dependent resistor (LDR):An LDR controls the resistance of current depending on how much light here is around it
battery's
Battery's :
Batteries provide power to a circuit. They are available in a range of sizes but from the brief, my project can’t exceed 9 volts of power
lighting
LEDS:
to put more of a unique design on this project I may add lights to the project. If I was to add lights to this project, I would add LEDS as they are a lot more energy efficient normal lights which would require less light from the batter for me
