There were models set up for locals to follow forced to locals to have Japanese spirit e.g. teaching Japanese language ( Nippon - go ) lessons were also being broadcasted in schools , beginner readers. Japanese surrender
Japan increasingly worn down by Allies they prevented the Japan from advancing. In 1945, the German were defeated so the allies focused on Japan they dropped 2 atomic bombs on Japan. In 1945 the Japanese emperor surrendered hence the British military administrative was established however problems arosed:

- Post- war disruptions to production, shipping. Countries also could not produce enough to sell overseas. The merchant ships were also destroyed there was also insufficient warehouse for storage so BMA first cleaned the harbour to allow the ship's entrance

- In 1945 banna notes were usless but left many people without strait dollars stranded so BMA issued special grant but they were insufficient for large families to survive

- War disrupted schooling for many so BMA opened schools quickly for schooling ages and overages. Grants, waived school fees were provided.

Malays were part of the Japanese administrative system, e.g., policing and neighborhood associations. The Chinese also contributed, e.g., as informants during Operation Sook Ching.

Some locals refused to work with the Japanese; hence, they were executed. Others formed resistance movements, such as the Malayan People's Anti-Japanese Army (MPAJA) and Force 136. Both worked with the British to oust the Japanese.
