Custer marched north of the camp with 215 soldiers, while Major Marcus Reno attacked from the south

After Reno was rescued by benteen, the natives went north to attack Custer’s groups

The natives surrounded Custer’s groups and defeated them, killing Custer in the process with shots to the head and heart.
