- - - - Natsivaq is Pitu’s older brother and is flat and unchanging. He doesn't change much and is a symbol of home and family.
    - - Pitu is growing and changing the most. He was very energetic before, but now he waits patiently for seals. This shows that he is getting more mature. He also shows restraint from his emotions, for example, he got jealous but quickly controlled his emotions.
    - - Anaana because she seems very knowledgable, but her thoughts are not clear. Normally, she is very proud of Pitu, but it seems that something is bothering her about his success, making her nervous.
    - - Quote (pg. 5): "But as the others began to thank and congratulate him...Pitu's pride returned...he...was feeding the hunters, who in turn would feed the camp."
        
        Pitu is caring, but gets jealous easily, his character is that he thinks he needs to accomplish something to be useful.
        
        The author proves how Pitu's personality is a bit self-conscious, because his pride only returned when he proved himself.
        
        He also wants to prove himself to his community, who he needs to feed, and actually getting them food makes him feel better and more proud of himself.
