Density
- Density describes the "concentration" of mass in the
volume it occupies.
- Density measures the amount of mass in a gives volume.
This is, density tells us how concentrated matter is in a body.
- Is the name of the relationship between the mass and volume.
- Is a property of the material: Every material
has its own characteriztic density.

Elements and Compounds
Elements:
- Can not be broken or separated.
- Represented by symbols.
- In the periodic table.
- Specific number of protons and electrons.
Compounds:
- Can be broken down or separated.
- Represented by formula.
- Not in the periodic table.
- Cobining elements loose their properties.
Areas of Study:
Organic Chemistry: The study of cabon based on chemicals.
Inorganic Chemistry: The study of chemicals that do not have carbon.
Bio-Chemistry: Study of Organisms.
Analytical Chemistry: Analyse the mass. (Composition of matter).
Physical Chemistry: Mecanisms and energy
Volume
The volume of an object is the space it occupies. The unit of volume in the International System is the cubic meter (m³).
A cubic
Mass
Mass is the characteriztic of bodies that
indicates how much matter they contain.
To measure the mass of an object, we use units
such as grams, millligrams, kilograms, etc.
The basic unit of mass isn the
international System is the Kilogram (kg)
