Steps in Starting Curriculum Review for Grade 6 Fine Arts Program
Step 2:Peruse/Examine the curriculum document to determine deficiencies in key areas --- (i)Do they follow Universal Design for learning Principles (UDL)? (ii) Are they aligned with National Standards?(iii) Are they aligned with theories on how students learn? (iv) Are they appropriate for the grade level?(v) Do they reflect the diverse needs of students and their cultural backgrounds? (vi)Are multiple formats and varied and engaging activities used ? (vii) do they all sync with one another?

Step1: Initial Meeting with Members of the Committee

Project manager: oversees and facilitates the review process
Students: provide feedback though class interaction and questionnaires
The Review Committee:coordinates and implements the mapping activities and the review process;provide feedback
