The cratchits are a poor but loving family, who struggle with poverty and tiny tim's illness however they don't let that ruin their spirit.

He is scrooge's employee

he is uncomplaining and tolerating of scrooges lack of care and underpay

this is the main theme in the play

Scrooge goes on a journey of redemption

poverty is portrayed in a variety of ways, most specifically through the use of the Cratchit family and the endless cycle they have become stuck in.

Social responsibility is highlighted through Scrooge's actions towards those trying to help the poor, his behaviour as an avaristic and cruel employer and his behaviour towards anyone who he should love

Scrooge soon takes actions to change his ways and eventually does take responsibility for his wrong doings and "sins"

scrooge finally changes for the better

he goes to fezziwig's party and buys the cratchits a turkey

he looks like father christmas

he is sat upon a throne of food to represent the food that is available but most cant have; also symbolizes the christmas spirit

Time

The cratchits know they have a limited amount of time with Tiny Tim but with scrooges help that can be extended

There was a clock with the ghost of christmas present, to signify that it is a real life problem happening as they speak.

The ghosts

Marleys ghost

The ghost of christmas past takes scrooge through a flashback to his childhood

The ghost of christmas yet to come takes scrooge to the future and shows him what happens

Each of the ghosts travel through different times

his ghost is used as a warning sign to scrooges possble fate.

Marley comes back to life, "Marley was dead; to begin with"

Small fire, not nearly enough to keep Bob warm

The carol singers that appear at scrooges office door but he promptly shuts them away

The money collectors

They come to collect money from scrooge from charities, "are there no workhouses or prisions"

They receive money from scrooge at the end of the play.

Scrooge won't be making money is Bob has christmas day off, at the end of the play scrooge values time because it is time o redeem himself
