Investigating variations in the urban quality of life, in portsmouth.
Location
Another reason we chose portsmouth as our location was because it showed up the evidence/development of a regeneration project (Gunwharf Quays). As well the most deprived wards such as Charles Dickens wards.
Portsmouth is located on the other side of the solent to the Isle of Wight. It is a naval dockyard/base and was heavily bombed during ww2.
We chose portsmouth as our location because it was local to us. It was semi easy to access as it was just a ferry crossing across the solent.
Either side of Portsmouth is Southampton and Havant. Portsmouth is an island also known as portsea island.
