Consequences of climate change
Flooding can lead to disease spread and
damages to ecosystems and infrastructure.
Heavy flooding and rainfall can lead to a spread of bacteria and orgnanisms further causing diseases
As the climate increases weather events become much more extreme. Extreme hurricanes, storms, droughts, heatwaves, heavy flooding leads to destruction of infrastucture, it damages property and is a definate threat to the wildlife near.
Higher incidences of flooding can lead to the spread of waterborne diseases,
injuries, and chemical hazards.
Sea levels are rising - as the oceans warm due to an increasing global temperature, seawater expands—taking up more space in the ocean basin and causing a rise in water level.
Another cause is the melting of ice and glaciers in oceans due to heat, the ice is now malting and causing the levels to rise.
Rising sea levels cause an increase in flooding, the consequences are mentioned above.
Rising temperatures favor agricultural pests, diseases and disease vectors.
Pest populations are on the rise and illnesses once found only in limited, tropical areas are now becoming endemic in much wider zones.
Climate change has also been known to have caused an "insect out-break"
Drought can
harm food production and human health.
. Severe droughts in rainfed areas have reduced agricultural production by 20 to 40 per cent.
Human farm workers can suffer from heat-related health issues, like exhaustion, heat store and heart attacks. Rising temperatures and heat can also harm live stock. As this happens, there will be a decreased production of food, and farmers will be ecenomicaly damaged
.
Dry conditions lead to more wildfires, this risks human health and destroys animal habitats, a lack of trees can also increase the amount of Co2 in the air.
Drought can also cause long-term public health problems, including: Shortages of drinking water and poor quality drinking water. Impacts on air quality, sanitation and hygiene, and food and nutrition
Rising temperatures lower many species survival rates due to changes that lead to less food, less successful reproduction, and interfering with the environment for native wildlife.
Extinction of animals and and increased amount of pesticides in the air can endanger the food chain itself. This poses as an immense danger to future generations.
Researchers have found that the intensifying climate will likely cause an increase in wars and arguments between countries, dues to the lack of supply production, trade, food/water scarcity and the effect on economy.
Climate changes is a huge push factor for many, birds, humans and lots of other animals migrate to live in better weather conditions and further "live a better life-style"
Migration of people from developing to developed countries will normally cause an absolute increase in global emissions.
