Importance of Physical Environment in Childcare
Enables children to have fun and to also be focused
Self-directed and independence learning
Children will take ownership and feel a sense of achievement
Building strong relationship with their peers/ environment

Environment requirements
•Teacher can create a hand on activities that is suitable for the age group children in the classroom
•The environment should have the activity themes , information concepts , skills and activity ideas
•The activities or experiment can be in indoor or outdoor
•The resources, materials and equipment should be safe
For example: table, chair and shelves are suitable for the children’s heights
Roles of Learning Environment
Schools
should provide an adequate program or curriculum for the children to develop appropriately
Monitoring role
ensures that every child learns something, this role can be taken by the teacher, child or the program
Teachers
should be to provide guidance to the children in their learning journey either distantly or closely
Provide Experience
The child will be able to explore and experience a plethora in the environment
Learning Materials
that help the children to learn in multiple ways whether it is by exploration or problem solving
Learners Interaction
should be achieved at an increased rate, children will collaborate with peers and teachers
