RECOGNITION
Questions to Ask: Is student showing any signs they may need special education? Are they new or reoccurring? Are they constant? Are they age appropriate?

REFERRAL / REQUEST FOR EVALUATION
A referral can be made by school personnel, parents or guardian. If referral is requested by school; it must get approval from students parents or legal guardian before being evaluated.

At least every 3 years or earlier if need students are reevaluated to see if IEP is still need or needs adjustments
Students progress toward annual goals are reported to parents. They can approve or request changes to IEP in they think necessary.
