What is Industrial 4.0?
Revulutionizing the way brands manufacture, enhance and distribute their products.
Automation
- Automation technology. These consist of tools, tools, equipment, and other tools. Minimal human intervention is used.
E.g. Robotic gas pumps, garage opener apps, electronically automated doggy doors, etc.
Data exchange
- Converting data that is organized according to a source schema into a target schema so that the target data accurately reflects the source data.
Cloud computing
- The delivery of computer services via the Internet, including servers, storage, databases, networking, software, analytics, and intelligence.
e.g. google drive, dropbox, onedrive, etc.
The internet of things
- An inactive object that can have a device attached to it that can assess environmental conditions, produce related data, and send that data through a communications network.
e.g. lights, vehicles, refrigerators, and many more appliances.
Cyber-physical systems
- uses computer-based algorithms to control or monitor a mechanism (a.k.a. intelligent systems)
E.g. self driven cars, robots, Intelligent buildings
