Inequality is the unfair difference between groups of people in society.
Poverty is the state of being poor.
If these problems don't get solved, they can lead to bad effects.
This research is focused on raising awareness about the effects of poverty and inequality in Indonesia.

Poverty and inequality still exists in Indonesia.
The poverty rate in Indonesia is 9.5% in 2022.
The inequality rate (gini ratio) in Indonesia is 0.384.

Poverty and Inequality exist in cities of Indonesia, including surabaya.
Surabaya is a metropolitan city, The rate of poverty in Surabaya is 5,23% in 2022.
There are lots of types of inequality in Surabaya
One of the inequalities in Surabaya is income inequality. We can measure the inequality by using gini ratio.

Afghanistan has the highest gender inequality rate.
The poverty rate in the world is 9% in 2021.
The country that has the highest poverty rate is Madagascar ( 70.70% )

40.9% thinks that unemployment and criminality is the biggest effect of poverty.
40.9% thinks that disease and lack of healthcare is the biggest effect of poverty.

Most people know religion inequality and not many people know about age inequality

52.4% of the responses knows no one who are living in poverty.
38.1% of the responses knows 1-5 people who are living in poverty.
9.5% of the responses knows more than 10 people who are living in poverty.

72.7% thinks that discrimination causes inequality
13.6% thinks that poverty and lack of resources causes inequality

Inequality
Poverty and lack of resources : they don't have any money so they don't have a chance to work/earn money.
Treating others without dignity : People easily treat others and judge other just by looking at their age, gender, race, etc.
Discrimination of age, gender, ethnic, religion, etc : Discrimination and racism can lead to lower chances for people to have jobs, good working conditions, etc'

Lack and poor education : poor people usually don't get (proper) education
Little or no access to jobs: without a job people will face poverty
High living cost : no access to food, clean water, etc
Natural disaster : can cause people to loose their house, money, etc.

Unemployement and criminality : People who don't have jobs tends to do bad things to earn money,
School dropout and child labour : children from poor families that experienced poverty are forced to drop out from school and work for their families
High death rate : poor people can't have access to good health care can cause a lot of people to die from diseases
Inequality
Lower level of satisfaction and happiness : it causes stress and anxiety so they're not happy.
Lower level of economic growth : less stable economy ( financial crisis )
Unfair treatement : Inequality in crisis unfair treatment
Increase in level of violence: Living in an inequality environment usually has higher violence rates.

Based on the questionnaire, poverty and inequality has bad consequence in Indonesia.
Poverty can cause criminality. The impact of criminality is that the country becomes unsafe. Tourist from other country will be afraid to come leading to the economy to decrease.
Inequality can cause discrimination, the effect of discrimination is: people will feel not safe and unwelcomed, and no one would want to live in our country

Inequality
Education : Fix the quality of education, education could be a cause of inequality because not every everyone can have chance to get proper education.
Government : The government can make rules/laws to reduce the inequality
Raise awareness : Starting campaigns to raise awareness about equality and stand up for the good.
Poverty
Open more job : Open more job opportunities for people in poverty so they can have money to live.
Education : Education is the most important solution because poor people usually have lack of education so they can't have a proper job
Government : The government should give help and support for the people in poverty by giving free education, homeless shelters, incentives, etc

Poverty is being poor and Inequality is the unfairness of the people in the world.
Poverty and inequality exists everywhere in the world.
The causes of poverty are high living costs, lack of good education, lack of government support.
The cause of inequality are poverty and lack of resources, treating others without any dignity, and discrimination.
The effect of poverty are unemployment and criminality, disease and lack of healthcare, child labour and school drop out
The effects of inequality are unfair treatment, increased levels of violence, lower level of economic growth, lower level of satisfaction and happiness.
Possible solutions for poverty are government support, more job opportunities, provide better education, etc'
Possible solutions for inequality are fixing the education, government should make rule, raise awareness
1 of the effects of poverty is criminality is that it would make the country unsafe and tourists would not come to the country, leading to the economy to decrease
The consequence of inequality is discrimination, people will not feel save or welcomed and no one would want to live in Indonesia
