A disroder that makes people lose more weight than os considered healthy for their age and height
Individuals have a morbid fear of aging weight, even when they are inderweight
This can cause them to be on very restrictive diets, exercise in excess and use methods such as vomiting or using laxatives
Symptoms
Low blood pressure
Irregular heartbeat
Constipation
Constant chilliness
Bone density decreases
Leading to the osteoporosis
Skin becoming dehydrated
If this all happens, the hospitalization is necessary
Consuming a large amounts of food in a short amount of time, followed by an attempt to rid oneself of the food
vomiting the food that has already been eaten
Taking a laxative, diuretic or stimulant, and doing excessive exercise, because of an exaggerated concern for body weight
It can coexist with obesity and anorexia
Slenderness in females, specially in teens or manly physique in males
Excessive dieting which can result in bulimia nervosa
It can be dangerous by altering blood composition, resulting in arrhythmias and esophagus
The stomach may even rupture due to strong contractions during repeated vomiting
Treatment
Most effective treatment include cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, exposure and response prevention and holistic therapies
In other words, therapy with an specialist person is recommended, and antidepressants and also nutritional sounseling
