Adverb
DEFINITION
: Describes a verb, an adjective, another adverb, a clause or a whole sentence

: Fond, creative, generous, brave, cold & hot. (She is a

DEFINITION
: Modifies or describes features and qualities of people, animals and things.
Preposition
DEFINITION
: Describes the relationship between words from the major word classes
EXAMPLE
: at, in, on, across, behind & for. (Are you ready

Pronoun
DEFINITION
: Substitutes noun phrases in a sentence.
EXAMPLE

: Expresses the feeling of the sentence independently.
EXAMPLE
: Oh, wow, uh-oh, um & alas. (I can't believe I lost the key!

: Shows what type of reference the noun is making.
EXAMPLE
