Marjane's friend, like her are clueless naive children who allow a sense of relatability to marjane. However sometimes they also act as a conscious that keeps Marjane grounded like for example when she makes up lies about her family's martyrs or suffrage to seem important.
Marjane's main and only non-boased source of learning is from books. She relies on them as a way to seek thruth. Her parents also fundamentally believe in reading knowledge and how it affects an individuals growth to understand the raw truth from different perspectives and not just entrapped by the israeli twisted information
The party- Opposing her own beliefs she learns from her mother's way of thinking to show mercy even when political and social views contradict between individuals.
Her day begins from learning about the great Israeli emperor in school and ends with her parents tales of opposition propoganda at home
