MAIN TEXT TYPES
FACTUAL TEXT
The text gives background information in the beginning before introducing the central/main contention. It gives out information and facts to the readers.
LITERARY TEXT
Literary text is a type of text used to entertain readers. Examples of literary texts are poems, storybooks, and fictional novels.

EXPLANATORY TEXT
Explanatory texts focuses more on the causes and reason. It goes into deep meaning where they want to know how and what happened.

POETRY
Poetry is mostly written in an order or pattern of rhymes. Poetry can be used as entertainment, informing others, pass on culture and to amuse people. It has many uses.
RECOUNTS
Recounts retells history to entertain and educate. Such as the WW1 and WW2 where all students are told about that historical event. It is written in past tense because it is mainly talked about events that already happened
NARRATIVE
The purpose of Narrative writing is to tell a story. It is mostly used in novels, movies, storybooks, etc. The way it starts a story is to inform the audience about its setting and the introduction of characters.
DRAMA
As you can see, the word "Drama" means to largely entertain an audience and it has many uses to it. It is similar to Narrative text because it is into story telling. It is acted by actors, drama endeavors to tell a story through enacting it on the stage. Dialogue is required in order for the show to go on.
